OVERVIEW

We are seeking a full-time Senior Graphic Designer to join our dynamic Communications team. This role is crucial in enhancing our corporate communications program and creating client-branded materials.

The ideal candidate will have strong conceptual abilities capable of crafting visually stunning and impactful designs and also possess reliable and efficient design production skills.

All designs produced must effectively convey both our clients’ messages and our corporate branding, with clarity and professionalism.

Our Communications team includes a department head with a professional design background, a Design team manager, and an Art Director.

As Senior Designer, you will collaborate with all team members, reporting directly to both the Design team manager and the Art Director.

Additionally, as an integral team member on multiple client accounts, you will coordinate and manage design projects with the Communications POC and other ESG team members, as needed.

Responsibilities

Primary :

• Transform sustainability, real estate, and financial data and industry trends into visually appealing graphics for presentations, websites, microsites, animations, video, social media, and marketing materials.
• Lead the design process for corporate annual sustainability reports and presentations, from initial concepts to final production and publication.
• Design engaging marketing pieces using photography, infographics, charts, graphs, and video content.
• Ensure that designs adhere to brand guidelines and are visually consistent.
• Update and maintain business development presentations to ensure brand consistency.

Secondary :

• Design production work, as needed.
• Demonstrate a professional demeanor in all interactions, maintaining respect, courtesy, and a positive attitude with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• Manage project timelines independently while collaborating effectively with the team.
• Work directly with clients, leading meetings and collaborating with team members, including Executives and C-Suite.
• Lead team design-related training sessions and contribute to the improvement of brand guidelines and instructions.

Professional Experience & Qualifications

Required :

• At least 7-10 years of professional graphic design experience.
• Strong conceptual abilities that would enable the candidate to reliably ideate original, high-quality design concepts for any given project, with minimal direction and assistance.
• Able to execute and extrapolate from concepts provided by Art Director, with minimal assistance.
• Willingness to develop multiple unique design alternatives for each project, demonstrating creativity and adaptability.
• Excellent color theory, layout, and typographical abilities.
• Strong design production skills.
• A meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to work against and meet deadlines.
• Must be self-motivated and able to self-manage, organize, and prioritize.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members across disciplines and in multiple geographic locations.

Preferred :

• Agency or in-house design and marketing experience
• Experience within commercial real estate and sustainability
• Website and / or social media experience
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field

Platforms & Software

Required :

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, and at least intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Expertise in creating technically stable and reliable InDesign templates for annual reports and web / microsite design, ensuring consistency and functionality across various projects.
• At least basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to use either Mac or PC platforms.

Preferred :

• Proficiency in other Adobe Creative Suite programs, especially video-related programs.
• Capable of website design, using Squarespace.
• Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau and Power BI.
• Experience with project management tools, such as Monday.com.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time at a desk and working on a computer.
• Repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and / or fingers.
• Occasional light to moderate lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be necessary.
• Close vision requirements due to computer work.
• Adequate hearing for effective communication in-person and / or on the telephone.

• The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting where moderate noise levels may be present.
