You are a clear communicator whoshares your knowledge and ideas, and you expect the same from thosearound you. If you're proactive, can mentor junior developers, andare available until 12 PM CST / 1 PM EST, we’d love to hear fromyou! - Minimum of 5 years experience working as a DBA, withexperience in operational and production environments, ideally atleast 2 different companies.

• Demonstrable hands-on experiencewith AWS and Aurora MySQL. - Experience in performance tuning andoptimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshootingtools.
• Hands-on experience in managing high availability (HA) anddisaster recovery (DR) options for databases, such as replication,failover clusters, and backups.
• Hands-on experience in databasesecurity, including user access management, encryption, andauditing practices. - Ability to collaborate directly withdevelopers and system administrators to ensure database bestpractices in application development and production operations.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch,Datadog, Prometheus) for ensuring database health, and identifyingand addressing bottlenecks.
• Experience with scripting languages(e.g., Python, Bash) for automating database tasks and writingutilities to support DBA functions.
• Knowledge of JIRA,Confluence, and Scrum processes, including incident tracking,documentation, and participation in team ceremonies.
• Ability toconduct database reviews, mentor junior DBAs, and contribute toimproving database management processes. - Must be available andonline during core business hours until 12 PM CST / 1 PM EST toprovide support and respond to incidents.
• Experience withautomation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) to automate routinedatabase tasks and deployments is a plus.
• AWS certifications area plus. - Knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redshift, ElasticSearch,and Redis is a plus. - Fluent in English.#J-18808-Ljbffr
