Hybrid JAVA Engineer

Job Brief : A JAVA Engineer defines softwarerequirements, writing clean and efficient code for variousapplications and running tests to improve system functionality.

JAVA engineers will implement and maintain JAVA components andframeworks throughout the software development life cycle.Responsibilities : - Providing development services for the mandatedsupport and enhancements of multiple interfaces and applicationswithin JIS.

Support and enhancement will include migrating legacymonolithic applications into more modern technologies. - Designingand developing code, unit testing code, and providing supportduring test cycle post-production.

• Preparing regular and ad hocreports including : weekly project report of progress and status,weekly time report, and additional reports as requested.
• Experience with reverse engineering and refactoring code,distributed event streaming platforms, maintaining and developingweb applications front ends using React, JSF / PrimeFaces, anddeveloping scalable, secure, access-controlled Java SOAP and RESTservice APIs and implementations.
• Designing and documenting theapproach for major use cases before coding. - Articulating andfinding ways to add unit test / integrated tests to legacy systemsusing Junit and Mockito to debug issues.
• Documenting the legacysystem code and approach used with flow diagrams. - Understandingand capability to code in event driven, microservices, and SOAarchitectures.

Skills Required : - B.S. in Computer Science orrelated field. - Eight (8) or more years’ experience as a FullStack Java Engineer (application, integration, solution).

• Handson coding experience including : two (2) or more years with eventdriven architecture, three (3) or more years with Microservicesarchitecture, and four (4) or more years with legacy monolithicarchitectures.
• Four (4) or more years hands on experiencemigrating from one framework to another. - Knowledge of scalabilityoptions and best practices.
• Ability to quickly evaluate, learnand prototype new technologies. - Ability to critically think andproblem solve. #J-18808-Ljbffr
