EC&I Specialist - M/F

Purpose of the position :

Our Automation and Control Department is looking for an Electricity, Control System & Instrumentation Specialist (M / F) on a permanent basis contract based in Diogo , Senegal with a rotational schedule status (5 weeks ON x 3 weeks OFF) for expats and residence basis status for locals.

The EC&I Specialist will bring his / her operational support for control systems, instrumentation, VSD programming and electrical fault-finding and will uphold standards in his / her discipline.

He / She will be involved in improvement project execution and will give support on an extension greenfield project.

Also, he / she will be the back-to-back of the Head of Automation & Control department.

Responsibilities :

• Guarantee the respect of procedures of safety, environment and process for him / herself and for his / her team
• Assist the Central Maintenance Manager with maintenance process improvement or others punctual company need (OPEX projects management, coaching of GCO employees
• Increase the reliability and service costs of EC&I equipment through obsolescence planning due to aging plant; revision of the maintenance plans;

and review installations or alternative equipment to improve availability and reduce downtimes.

• MOC approval for additional electrical installations, addition of instruments or adjustment to PLC code
• Implementation of PLC and SCADA changes, updates, revision control.
• Project management and implementation of internal and expansion projects.
• Support the operational teams on field when necessary.

About you :

• Engineering degree.
• Experience of at least 10 years of maintenance within Controls System
• Process control systems maintenance.
• PLC, SCADA and HMI development.
• VSD setup
• Telemetry systems
• Process oriented with a strong operational discipline.
• Safety oriented
• CAPEX project scoping and management
• Experience in heavy industry
• Team worker and trainer profile
• Capacity of negotiations and transversal management
• Advantage : experience with Aveva Wonderware, Emmerson PLC, Siemens VSD
• Minerals Sand experience advantage
• Minimum fluent English spoken and written skills, French spoken and written skills will be a differential.
