As the global Industrial Engineering leadership, alignthe manufacturing strategy of the industrial roadmap to all sites.Drive the master layout and line design of sites to be flexible infulfilling business needs, including shop floor or siteconsolidations.
Responsible for line & shop floor upgrades withi4.0 and BIC elements to achieve efficient High Mix Low Volumemanufacturing.
Plan shop floor space utilization with a focus oncapacity utilization, considering different approaches likededicated lines, work centers, and flexible cell line approaches inthe layout.
Manage overall capacity and capability planning for allsites. Work concurrently and collaboratively with factory IE inroadmap execution and capex spending.
In NPI, be the owner of theManufacturing Site Selection Process (MSSP) to identify the mostappropriate and efficient site for new businesses, aligning withthe overall manufacturing industrial roadmap.
Standard timestandardization is a key alignment to allow sites to measureproductivity uniformly, leading to effective resource planning.
Inmigrating to the Next Generation ERP (SAP S4 Hana), ensure routingand work center formats are standardized across all sites, with theglobal IE Director responsible for data setup and factoryproductivity measurement.
Furthermore, the IE Director will beinvolved in critical product costing reviews to ensure competitivejob content and standard time usage.
Manage automationopportunities with good ROI justification, implementation plans,and further opportunities with factory IE and ME teams.
ESSENTIALRESPONSIBILITIES : - Space & Layout Management - Work closelywith Ops leadership to define directions and approaches enhancingfactory performance.
- Lead factory IE teams to maximize productionefficiency through various concepts in different lines, like workcenters, dedicated lines, and cell lines.
- Drive space efficiencyin layout to ensure production expansion and new businesses areaccommodated, maximizing output revenue per square foot.
- Responsible for layout and relayout activities of factories, withfinal approval. - Work closely with Lean teams for continuousimprovement in layout and process flow.
- Capacity & CapabilityManagement - Manage the manufacturing industrial roadmap byreviewing new and existing business needs to ensure site capacityis adequate.
- Manage resources covering labor, equipment, andcritical resources, and develop effective model groupings. - Reviewoverall capex spending across all sites to ensure wise investments,considering asset transfer or upgrades.
- Own the ManufacturingSite Selection Process (MSSP) in NPI to select appropriatefactories and align with the roadmap. - Conduct capability reviewsbased on new products, processes, and the latest equipment,planning for the annual budget, including replacement plans.
- Standard Time & Productivity Management - Standardize standardtime computation across all sites. - Overall owner of standard timesetup in ERP to ensure standard productivity measurementavailability.
- Align standard time formats using MTM and workcenter setups in ERP S4 Hana for all sites. - Drive high linebalancing rates in production to improve productivity.
- Manage theannual productivity improvement plan for all sites, includingannual standard time adjustments. - Drive standard time validationannually in key critical models in Mass Production and NPI.
- Product Costing Management - Review standard time set in NPI andidentify potential automation opportunities for cost and qualityimprovement.
- Collaborate with factory NPI & PM teams in NPIcosting reviews. - Handle marketing escalations in product costing,leading factory teams in costing reviews.
WORK ENVIRONMENT : Basedin Penang, the individual may travel frequently to WW manufacturingsites in Mexico, Laguna, Cavite, and Thailand.
SKILLS : - Automationprocess and line design experience - Strong manufacturing processknowledge - Good quality mindset - Able to explore and evaluate newprocess technologies - Able to work in a fast-changing dynamicenvironment - Strong communication skills to handle communicationwith internal and external parties - Problem-solving - Dataanalysis - Testing process EXPERIENCE : - Minimum 20 years ofelectronics manufacturing experience with automation design anddeployment - Preferred experience in box build, PCBA, producttesting, or PSU testing process development - Data analytics todrive decision-making - Team and project management EDUCATION : Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering preferred, or otherengineering disciplines (Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical)with relevant experience.
