Database Administrator

As a Database Administrator, you will develop, implement, and perform complex technical assignments relatedto advanced Power Systems software applications specifically by developing DataManagement and Migration for Energy Mgmt.

Energy Market software systems.

The position requires effective use, development and maintenance of DataManagement forNetwork Grid Control Center and SCADA systems used by utilities to managedistribution network grid LV, MV and HV network equipment’s supporting,executing and reviewing high quality customer commercial projects delivered onschedule, within budget and meets or exceeds customer satisfaction expectations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Build and maintain high availability and quality database systems based on the specific requirements of each end user's role.
• Design and implement databases to meet the information needs and views of end users.
• Define user roles and permissions to ensure appropriate data distribution in the required format and within specified timeframes.
• Implement high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup strategies to ensure data integrity.
• Minimize database downtime and optimize parameters to achieve fast query responses.
• Provide proactive and reactive data management support to end users, including training and troubleshooting.
• Develop and enforce database policies, procedures, and standards.
• Conduct regular tests and evaluations to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
• Monitor database performance, make necessary changes, and apply patches and updates as required.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Database Administrator.
• Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications.
• Proficiency in data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL.
• Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding.
• Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend / backend) and third-party tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and efficient.
• Proficient in written and spoken English (including security terminology) combined with good interpersonal skills and attention to detail
• Experience with Oracle Database systems or equivalent RDMS is a plus.
