Corp Electrical Engineer

The purpose of the Corporate Electrical Engineer willfocus on power distribution, design power systems, and be theelectrical expert for all electrical components of capex projects.

They will drive the electrical policies of the US operations.Reports to the VP Engineering. Has one direct report. They must behands on and will support capex type projects and departmentalproject managers by generating and providing electrical conceptualdesigns and budgets along with producing overall electricalengineering design and construction installation packages primarilyvia the use of outside engineering firms.

This role will travel 30%of time domestically to organizational plants. Will be able to redline drawings, make suggestions, recommend electrical contractors.

Qualifications BSEE - Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineeringrequired. At least eight (8) years of electrical experience in oneof the following, or combination of these industrial sectors : heavyindustrial environments (Mining, Steel, Power Utilities, electricalequipment manufacturer, Engineering Firms).

A strong workinghistory in the technical areas of industrial electrical systemswith a preference of Power Distribution along with generalControls / Instrumentation and Electrical Installations.

• Knowledgeable in engineering design, construction oversight andconstruction execution are required. - Capable to multi-task andsupport multiple projects concurrently.
• Working knowledge of theNFPA NEC National Electrical Code and other Industry acceptedElectrical Standards (IEEE, IAS, NEMA, UL, etc.

is required. -Knowledge of large industrial motors and associated motor control.- A proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Products is required(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Schedule).

• The candidate is to havegood inter-personal communication, verbal and written skills(English Language). - Candidate is to be motivated, well organized,and detail oriented.
• Candidate must be willing and able to workindependently to develop, coordinate, and perform projectactivities with the help and interaction of other corporateengineers and managers, site and plant representatives, engineeringfirms, testing firms, contractors, and equipment suppliers.
• Aworking knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred. - A working knowledge ofSKM Power system Study software and associated design methods ispreferred.
