You’ll provide anunparalleled customer experience by advising customers onstrategies and documented practices for making the best use of ourproducts.

You'll be an authority on best practices in runningMongoDB at scale. You'll advocate for customers' needs, workingwith our product management and development teams on their behalf,and contribute to internal projects, including software developmentof support tools for performance, benchmarking, and diagnostics.

What You Need / What we are looking for While our ideal candidatewill have 5 years+ of proven technical experience, we consider allcandidates with an eye for those who are self-driven, insatiablycurious, and multi-faceted.

It’s crucial that every candidatepossess the following skills : - Overwhelming desire to investigateand solve problems, with advanced diagnostic and troubleshootingskills - Broad awareness of customer workloads and use cases,including performance, availability, and scalability - Experienceanalyzing issues holistically, from the application tier throughthe database, down to the storage - Ability to think on your feet,remain calm under pressure, and solve problems in real-time -Comfortable working on the command line, in the GUI, and everywherein between - Excellent communication skills, both written andverbal - Patience, empathy, and genuine desire to help people -Desire and ability to rapidly learn a wide variety of new technicalskills - Collaboration : willingness and ability to get help fromteam members when required Your professional or self-taughtexperiences should have provided you with a strong understandingand grasp of three or more of the following areas : - NetworkAdministration - Development, automation, or hardware - DataModeling - Performance Analysis and optimization - Automation andOrchestration workflows (aka DevOps backgrounds) - Prior knowledgeof either AWS or another Cloud Provider platform - Fundamentalunderstanding of relational OR non-relational database systems,including administration and troubleshooting - Experienceadministering large-scale production environments, includinghardware, operating systems (e.

Linux, Windows), and cloud-basedresources (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) - Systems engineering experience,including Linux performance, memory management, I / O tuning,configuration, security, networking, clusters, and troubleshootingBonus Points - Experience using or managing MongoDB or otherdatabase solutions (RDBMS or NoSQL) - Experience withauthentication systems such as LDAP, Kerberos, AD - Experience withcloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP - Experience withKubernetes or other orchestration systems - Technical writingand / or training - Foreign language skills, a MongoDB or CloudCertification, or previous support experience - Experience usingdistributed version control systems, particularly git - Generalknowledge or experience with automation technologies such as Chefor Puppet - Storage engineering experience, including NAS, SAN,SSD, multi-pathing, and caching - Understanding of Networkingconcepts and protocols (DNS, TCP / IP, SSL / TLS, etc.

Experiencebuilding and deploying containers using Docker or similar toolsSuccess Measures - In 3 months, you’ll have gained a deepunderstanding of MongoDB and its ecosystem.

You will complete NewHire Training - In 6 months, you will be comfortable workingfrontline with our customers.
